This year I’ve delved deep into learning how our reality shifts as a response to our conscious and subconscious thoughts. As someone who has been the biggest roadblock to her own success – I knew I needed to make a change in my mental climate, my perceptions of self-image and my day-to-day self talk. Working on myself in this particular area has led me to this now Tik Tok viral rabbit-hole concept known as “Quantum Leaping”. If you did not want to read the rest of this article, I could quickly sum it up as– what you believe you can achieve. But how? Let's get into it.
I am the furthest thing from a physicist but I will attempt to break down my understanding of quantum leaping and how you can use ‘physics’ to create the life you envision based on this idea. Quantum physics is the study of energy and matter at its most fundamental level. Everything in our universe can be broken down into atoms which are interactions between different states of energy; atoms have negatively charged electrons that dance around positively charged protons and neutral neutrons and somehow the summation of all these interactions build life as you know now. Quantum leaping, from my understanding, revolves around the idea of this energetically charged and limitless environment that we’re all a part of– this is our current state of reality.
In particular, quantum leaping involves our idea of the time continuum and resonates with the “Many Worlds'' theory. According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, “The Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) of quantum mechanics holds that there are many worlds which exist in parallel at the same space and time as our own. The existence of the other worlds makes it possible to remove randomness and action at a distance from quantum theory and thus from all physics.” There are multiple worlds or timelines in which all our choices and decisions in life create a reality where the alternative also exists. In Quantum physics, time is not just past, present and future but rather – time happens all at once, we are simultaneously and continuously living in all three which leads to the possibility of jumping from one timeline to another. Thus, time can be regarded as not just linear but rather stacked. What you should really know from all this is that the quantum field has infinite possibilities and the basis behind quantum leaping is that you can manipulate this quantum field to essentially create the reality that you desire.
When I think of quantum leaping I see it has this sort of this interrelation between Marvel multiverses and law attraction which states that if you can imagine it, there's a ‘timeline’, dimension or alternative reality in which it already exists and all you need to do is energetically align yourself towards this reality. You can do this by generating a large amount of energy that ‘propels’ you to the timeline that you desire. While we do this regardless of thought, this goal of quantum leaping is to create a new reality consciously and intentionally. The promise is not that you’ll magically wake up one day with everything you ask for but rather the goal is to align ourselves with events that allow your dreams to manifest with additional ease.
There are many ways to “manifest” the life you desire. In this article we will go into quantum leaping through meditation with deep visualization. Visualization meditation is a method of picturing positive images, ideas, and/or symbols. This is how I begin my flow:
Set aside a time and find a comfortable environment where you can begin the meditation comfortably with ease and void of distractions
Begin with a Body Scan Meditation — the body scan meditation attunes us with our body and mind and encourages self-awareness of all sensations
In a seated position, close your eyes and bring awareness to your extremities beginning with the toes
Consciously breathe in and visualize a stream of energy flowing from your toes and moving its way up towards your ankles, calves, knees, etc. up till the crown of your head.
After prepping the body, you have now brought awareness to the crown of your head — the final portion of the meditation is where we begin to visualize the life in which we will want to quantum leap towards. I will provide a brief example below.
Example:
If I wanted to manifest a new home I would first visualize myself walking out of my car and viewing the house from the outside. I will continue to visualize myself walking towards the front door, turning the doornob, stepping in the living room space and then moving on to each room – get specific on the details - the aesthetics, smells, touch, sounds etc.
Since you’ve already practiced body scan meditation – you have energetically placed your body in an open position to begin creating. I would practice this meditation at least once a week for 10 minutes at a time and work your way up from there. Whatever it is that you are manifesting – a new career role, lifestyle etc. starts with a solid visual foundation of you living that life you ultimately desire.
End your meditation off with slow, natural breaths and an open mind. Remember – Consistency is key!
